About Our Outings
The Augusta, Georgia Chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA) hosts regular outings designed to promote gold prospecting and foster a strong sense of community among our members. These events provide members with hands-on opportunities to pan, sluice, and dredge for gold in a friendly and educational setting. Our outings are a mix of prospecting, fellowship, and learning—where newcomers gain skills from experienced miners, and everyone shares in the excitement of finding gold. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where both newcomers and seasoned prospectors can deepen their skills, enjoy the outdoors, and participate in the long-standing tradition of recreational gold prospecting.
